With the support of OutFront Minnesota Out In The Valley was started as a social and educational organization, rather than a political group. Our intention is to provide ways in which GLBT people of the St. Croix Valley can meet in a social, educational environment, and to offer opportunities for serving the communities in which members live.
We are a member-based organization with no requirements for membership other than a wish to support GLBT individuals and their friends and families. Our completely volunteer board and committee members perform all organizational functions OITV requires. Our income comes from donations from our members and supporters, including newsletter advertisers.
Services we offer OITV members:
- Monthly newsletters with information on our meetings, other events of interest to members, and updates on individual members
- OITV-sponsored and member-sponsored social and community events
- A Yahoo! Groups email discussion group open to members only that provides a forum for OITV members to connect socially, carry on conversations, and discuss issues of relevance
- Community service volunteer opportunites
